This is Shinden Shiro (White) Suita Koppa from Kyoto, Japan. Shinden, mine, relatively hard natural whetstone. Rare and hard to find these days! There are several lines on the stone, which are called Kesuji or Su, which means that they do not interfere with sharpening. Shinden can be considered the queen of Suita. The quality is very close to Okudo Suita and some people prefer Shinden because of its cutting ability.
