ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) is a series of optical sights produced by Trijicon. Originally designed for use with firearms such as the M16 rifle and M4 carbine, ACOG gradually expanded to include similar optical sights for other firearms series. The ACOG reticle is illuminated with tritium-based radioluminescence, allowing for effective targeting in low-light conditions. The TA31F-100215 model features a fiber optic light pipe for additional reticle illumination even in daylight.

The reticle with a red chevron is designed for targeting at a distance of 100 meters. The chevron's width at the base is 5.53 MOA, equivalent to 48 centimeters at a distance of 300 meters, allowing for distance estimation to silhouette targets. It has dual illumination (fiber optics for daytime illumination and tritium for nighttime reticle illumination). The reticle is calibrated for 5.56 (.223) caliber rifles up to a distance of 800 meters.
No other magnifying optic has been used in combat for as long as ACOG.
ACOG has been proven to withstand recoil from .22LR to .50BMG. It easily meets the U.S. military's drop test requirements.
