This double-edged Funayuki knife was made in the HANAKUMAGAWA workshop. Hanakumagawa tools are made, adjusted and sharpened by hand!
It is known that the Hanakumagawa company was founded in 1898. It is a family company. The art of making scissors and pruners is passed down from generation to generation.
Today, the company is owned by two brothers and the son of the younger brother. They are also employees. The company is located in the city of Ono (Japan), the same place where the Silky company is located. This region is known for the production of high-quality steel tools. Only 6 pieces (!) of different types of HANAKUMAGAWA tools are produced per day
