Description

This is the Shohonyama Kakiyama Tomae from Kyoto Japan. Kakiyama located in North West area in Kyoto, a mine so called Nishimono. Moderate hardness, would be a nice pre-finisher for razors, woodworking tools, a finisher for knives. Fine slurry comes out quickly and continuously, cutting feeling is smooth and stable. The lines on the sharpening face, they are not Suji ( toxic ) line, it doesn't hit whiile sharpening. Apart from the sharpening face, sealed lightly.
