EOTech holographic sights are unique in their kind today. In EOTech holographic sights, the aiming mark has been replaced by a hologram that appears under the influence of laser radiation. The large and transparent aiming mark of such a sight is clearly distinguishable in any illumination and is located in the center of the sight, regardless of the viewing angle. It also does not overlap targets and does not distract the shooter. The luminous pupil is visible only to the arrow and is absolutely invisible from the side, even when using night vision devices. The flat window of the sight has an anti-reflective coating, which reduces the likelihood of the shooter being detected by the game.
The collimator sight (holographic technology) refers to the open-type sights, so the shooter does not have to close his second eye while aiming. The large field of view allows the shooter to use peripheral vision and instantly respond to an emerging threat. It should be noted that the rate of fire with a holographic sight is much higher than with an optical sight, therefore it is often used when shooting at moving targets.
Selected EOTech models have a special “NV” mode for use with night vision devices. When switching to this mode, the brightness of the aiming mark is sharply reduced, which avoids the appearance of illumination around the aiming mark during observation with a night vision device.
Another characteristic feature of the EOTech holographic sights is that it can be used in any weather - rain, snow, and heavy fog. The aiming mark will be clearly visible even if the exit window is covered with snow or mud, or even broken.
